The Origin of the name "Supra." What does Supra mean? How did it come about? We started doing skits during the summer of 1996. We started out editing our videos with two VCR's and a 40 dollar sound mixer. All of our videos were improv. We called it "Comedy Supra." Supra meaning like "extraordinaire" or something. Well, our friends kept saying that they liked our "Supra" skits. It really wasn't our name but that's what people started to know us by. So it stuck with us, and we had name recognition with over 5 people. We didn't want to jeopardize our fan base by switching our name. So we became known as Supra. Every time we put together another tape, about an hour or so, we would call it "Supra" -- then a title. Our first sketch volume was just called Supra. Then we made "Supra Gold."
